Here belong the things I enjoy that do not
concern my work for Delft University of Technology. Those things include playing the
flute, performing musicals like Jesus Christ Superstar and Hair and Scouting. I used to be
an active Scout leader with Scouting Derja
Oegstgeest (e.g. I was a foreign crew member of the Canadian Jamboree
1997). There is a new, experimental, Drupal-based site available here:
Scouting Derja Oegstgeest
(new site).
Of course I need to put in a word on my favourite
operating systems, Linux, for which I wrote a driver
for an ancient Ethernet board, the 8-bit, full-size ISA Micom-Interlan NI5010.
I also contributed to the KDE project,
to the GnuCash accounting systems, and I wrote
a conduit for the Yanoff
Palm newsreader.
On December 28, 2005, Ellen and I signed the contract for the building of our new home
at 't Heerlijk Recht in Leiderdorp. I set up a bulletin board:
't Heerlijk Recht forum.
Other
things (I also like) |
- My wife Ellen Jagtman also has a home page
- Ellen's PhD thesis: Road Safety by Design,
A decision support tool for identifying ex-ante
evaluation issues of road safety measures
- My family web site is at www.vanbest.org
- You can read all about our Adventures in Japan in 1998-1999 (if
you can read Dutch, that is)
- I write down some tips on using a laptop computer and Windows
95 in different networking environments: switching IP addresses, login names, NT domains
etc. at boot time.
- YanoffConduit, a Java conduit for
the Yanoff PalmOS News client.
- Ancient Windows binaries
for the Denemo graphical musical score editor.
